It’s good when you can’t explain a picture, because that means it’s visual.

Elliott Erwitt

Let me just say, I found beauty in a boat yard….

Do you have a favourite? If you’re so inclined, let me know in the comments.

  1. i think i like the last one the best. (although they’re all great in my opinion) The last one includes enough of the building to provide a little context.

  2. each one is interesting and I love the colours very much. To pick a favourite, I’m going with the top one. I like the diagonal. It’s sort of a yin and yang thing for me.

  3. Love the explanation of the visual. I am not sure what always draws me in with an abstract but really like this type of photography. Maybe it is like a dream it is left up to your thoughts and perception.

  4. Love these abstracts, Sherry. Water is such a perfect medium for creating these. They are all nice in their own way, but I particularly like the first one because of the lighter area in the foreground which looks hopeful! I also like the very last image because it has strength I feel. Those fractured windows make me think of watery butterflies going on a journey!

  5. You do abstract so well! My favorite, if I had to pick, would be the trio. You know, the odd number thing, composition, etc. But they all work and they’re all beautiful.

  6. I like all of them – the colors are wonderful. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the last one – very strong composition with the watery windows. Well seen – and photographed!
