The day begins with a sunrise over the water
The challenge this week is to show a day in your life in pictures. Well, right now, I’m living on a sailboat in Florida with Bob and our two Westies, Angus and Charles. Like everybody else, we have no completely “typical” day, but there are parts to our routine that repeat themselves. This is what a day looks like when we’re at the dock in the marina. It would look quite different if we were on our way somewhere or anchored somewhere. We don’t have a lot of “things” with us so we live simply and enjoy all the small moments that make up our days. And when it’s time to go to bed, our home afloat rocks us gently to a deep, restful sleep.
My one and only selfie so far. Here’s me at home on Windsong II…

Maybe you can some day…;-) Thanks for dropping by. I really enjoy your blog.
Hi Sherry,
Gosh I would love to live on a sailboat! Thank you for sharing snippets of your day… so unique yet familiar 🙂 Hope you are having a good weekend xo
Thanks!
It was so much fun to do the last one. Glad you enjoyed seeing it!
That sounds like such fun. Shallow draft boats are so great.
I think you would really enjoy it. There’s nothing like it. If you do try it let me know how it goes 😉
Thanks, Deanna. It is mostly heavenly, except of course when I fall off the dock trying to put the dog in the boat!
So glad you like them!
I appreciate you saying so. Thanks for sharing it.
beautiful shot. the first one is great.

Thanks, sweet Viv. Hope you feel much better soon!
Thanks for sharing looks great…
Stunning pics. Such wonderful day in your life.. 🙂
Love the pictures…. You enjoyed your life so much. 🙂
what an adventure you must live…waking up to a beautiful sunrise, being gently rocked to sleep at night. Sounds heavenly. My brother & his wife sailed for a year several years back and always have great stories to tell. I wish you well!!
What a charmed life….beautiful photo’s, and both the sunrise and the sunset are gorgeous….I would love to try this sometime…we have a boat at our house in Maine…not like this but we could easily sleep on it…perhaps I’ll give it a try this summer.
I used to have a sailboat … a little 18-foot centerboarder that had a draft so shallow (16″ with the board up) we could sail her on a wet hankie. We used to sail in the marshes and channels on Long Island where the water was often very shallow. You reminded me of those days, long ago.
Love the first photo – awwwwwwwwww so peaceful and the last one is way cool — seeing the effects of three of yourself FUN!
