Nobody sees a flower — really — it is so small it takes time — we haven’t time — and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time.

Thank you very much Alastair. Yes, the plant is a sedum — the Autumn Joy variety. Apt name, no?
Lovely shots 🙂 Do you know the name of the plant in the second photo? I was recently photographing this plant myself but have no idea what it is called!

Absolutely lovely images here, Sherry, I love your work my friend!
Gosh, this is such an important … and timely reminder. Why do we have such a hard time remembering this? This is Day 4 of ‘Dotti’s Slow Down’ pace. I’m retired yet I’d hurry, all day long, self-imposed deadlines and it was wearing me out. After only 4 days, I feel much more relaxed. Thank you for the reminder to keep doing this and how important it is!
How very beautiful, the subtle color changes… 🙂
This is such a beautiful series, Sherry.
I especially love the leaf.
So nicely done!
These are lovely, Sherry! Love how the leaf is back-lit on the last photo. Beautiful!
Beautiful photos, Sherry. I especially like the thistle.
I love this delightful pink parade: soft yet vibrant. I love that you took that photo of the thistle bloom and it goes so perfectly with O’Keefe’s quote. That quote gives some insight into her thoughts why she chose to paint flowers so large. … I keep meaning to say that I think it’s cool how your blog background changes with the colours of your photo(s).
Oh how I miss the Thistle….great capture Sherry.
Wonderful flower images.
I love how you manage to put us “in” the flower, in the leaves…I love how you are able to “see”!
Beautiful detail, each and every one of them.
Glorious Sherry the light is perfect
Beautiful as always, Sherry. Of course, the thistle is the flower I associate with my homeland so it is always a welcome sight. Your leaves seem to sum up this time of year with their golden edge of light. I will explore the blog you mention, it sounds like a good one.
Thanks so much, Sherry, for mentioning Focusing on Life in your blog today. Double thanks because that brought me over here and I I was so glad because your photos are such a feast for the eyes! Love every one! Thanks again.
Such lovely soft colours of flowers and leaves taking on their shades of the season. I particularly like the delicate hydrangea flowers.
You are helping us to actually stop and see these beauties…and what superb captures they are! Beautiful work Sherry, as always.
Looks like you and Georgia have a lot in common..like Beverly said…I also love your flowers in their natural state…they are all so beautiful…Glad you stop to smell the roses. I also love taking photo’s of flowers…thanks for sharing these lovelies.
These are all so pretty Sherry! I love that they are just a natural photo, no processing…just showing off their true colors.
