I don’t think there’s anything on this planet that more trumpets life that the sunflower. For me that’s because of the reason behind its name. Not because it looks like the sun but because it follows the sun. During the course of the day, the head tracks the journey of the sun across the sky. A satellite dish for sunshine. Wherever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it. And that’s such an admirable thing. And such a lesson in life.”
From the movie, Calendar Girls
Sherry, these images are full of light … they are so full of clarity but the light comes from within. If someone were to land on this planet and see these images, they would surely call these sunflowers as the obvious way you have captured that light.
Oh, I’m a bit late to the “sunshine sunflower” show! But oh my are these gorgeous! Interesting to learn how they follow the sun through the day. Stunning shots Sherry! They sure brightened my day!!
Sherry, these are just gorgeous!

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. xo.

Here the sunflowers. There the hummingbird —
equal seekers of sweetness.”

Thanks for sharing Sherry, I cant remember if I heard that before but I don’t remember. I also think that’s pretty cool and I’m sure when I’m around sunflowers again I will think of that. Beautiful images.
Well now that is very good information. It validates my comment to you before. You are my sunshine. I love this image.
